Position Description
Support the planning, execution and optimization of search marketing programs across Paid Search, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in paid and organic search, along with an understanding of how AI-powered search and generative engines are changing the way people discover brands, products and services.
This role combines campaign execution, keyword and audience research, content optimization and performance analysis to improve client visibility, engagement and conversions across traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven search experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, management and optimization of Paid Search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including keyword research, negative keywords, ad copy, bidding and budget pacing.
- Monitor and analyze Paid Search performance, including click-through rates, cost per click, conversion rates, cost per acquisition and return on ad spend.
- Conduct keyword, search intent and competitor research to inform paid campaigns, organic search strategies and content recommendations.
- Support on-page SEO through optimization of page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and website content.
- Assist with technical SEO audits and coordinate with developers to address website architecture, crawlability, indexing and site performance.
- Support GEO initiatives by helping structure and optimize content for visibility in AI-generated answers and AI-powered search experiences.
- Monitor brand visibility, mentions and citations across relevant AI search platforms and help evaluate emerging GEO practices through research and testing.
- Assist with analytics, tagging and conversion tracking to measure user behavior and campaign outcomes.
- Collect and analyze website and search performance data, including traffic sources, engagement, conversions and revenue, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support ongoing testing of ad copy, landing pages and content to improve search marketing performance.
- Prepare reporting across Paid Search, SEO and GEO, translating findings into clear insights and recommended next steps.
- Stay informed about changes in search platforms, algorithms, advertising tools and AI-powered discovery.
- Collaborate with EGC’s media, content, creative, development and account teams to integrate search marketing with broader client strategies.
Education and Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant search marketing experience, including hands on exposure to both Paid Search and SEO
- Familiarity with GEO and AI-powered search, with an interest in developing expertise as these platforms evolve
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager; experience with Microsoft Advertising is a plus.
- Familiarity with SEO research and auditing tools such as Semrush, Moz or WebCEO.
- Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends and recommend practical optimization opportunities.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to support search ad copy and website content recommendations.
