The Role

The EGC Group is seeking an agency side Public Relations Manager, who will be responsible for leading client strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of PR functions, as well as have existing, positive relationships with media professionals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Thought leadership and planning surrounding client strategies and campaigns
  • Writes press releases and prepares information for the media to promote clients.
  • Responds to requests for interviews and information from the media.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
  • Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.
  • Coaches client reps in effective communication with the public and employees.
  • Analyzes the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, services.
  • Maintains the organization’s image and identity.
  • Drafts speeches and schedules interviews.
  • Prepares and edits organizational materials, including employee newsletters and other publications for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborates with clients to identify trends and evaluate advertising to determine whether it is in sync with the organization’s public relation efforts.
  • Identify and organize promotional events such as press conferences, conferences and speaking engagements.  
 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a PR or communications role
  • BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing or a related field is preferred
  • Verbal and written communication excellence, with attention to detail
